In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to JB Creative Marketing Limited trading as Jon the Beekeeper. “You” and “your” refer to the person placing an order.

2. These Terms

These Terms apply when you purchase products through the Jon the Beekeeper website.

Our Delivery, Returns & Refunds Policy and Privacy Policy also apply. Please read them before placing an order.

By submitting an order, you confirm that the information you have provided is accurate and that you agree to these Terms.

3. Our products

We take reasonable care to describe and photograph our products accurately. Product colours and packaging may appear slightly different on screen or may occasionally change without affecting the product itself.

Honey is a natural, seasonal product. Its colour, flavour, aroma, texture and consistency may vary between hives and harvests according to the season, weather and available forage.

Crystallisation and a light layer of fine air bubbles or foam are natural characteristics of honey and do not mean that the product is faulty.

Where our honey is described as raw, this means that it has not been heat-treated and has been lightly strained before being jarred.

Please read the product description, label, storage instructions and safety information before using a product.

4. Placing an order

You can review your basket and correct any errors before placing your order.

After placing an order, you will receive an automated acknowledgement confirming that we have received it. This acknowledgement does not mean that your order has been accepted.

Your order is accepted when we confirm that it has been dispatched or is ready for collection.

We may be unable to accept an order because:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • we cannot deliver to the address provided;
  • there is an obvious error in the price or product information;
  • an unreasonable quantity has been ordered; or
  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.

If we cannot accept an order after payment has been taken, we will cancel it and provide a full refund.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling.

Any applicable taxes and delivery charges will be shown before you complete your order. The total amount payable will be displayed at checkout.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

We take reasonable care to ensure that prices are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting your order, we will contact you. You may continue with the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

6. Availability

Our honey is produced seasonally and in small batches, so availability may be limited.

Adding a product to your basket does not reserve it. Products remain subject to availability until your order has been accepted.

We will not substitute a product without your agreement.

7. Delivery and collection

Available delivery and collection options, charges and estimated timescales are shown on our website and at checkout.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Please check your details carefully before placing your order.

We may charge the reasonable cost of redelivery where an order cannot be delivered because the information provided was incorrect or incomplete.

Delivery times are estimates unless we have specifically agreed otherwise. We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to keep you informed and minimise disruption.

Where collection is offered, please wait until we confirm that your order is ready before travelling to collect it.

Further information is available in our Delivery, Returns & Refunds Policy.

8. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel an eligible online order, return products and request a refund are explained in our Delivery, Returns & Refunds Policy.

That policy also explains what to do if an order is damaged, faulty, missing or incorrect.

Nothing in these Terms or our policies limits your statutory consumer rights. The products we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their usual purpose and as described.

Please contact hello@jonthebeekeeper.co.uk as soon as reasonably possible if there is a problem with your order.

9. Looking after your products

You are responsible for following the storage and usage information supplied with each product.

We are not responsible for deterioration or damage caused after delivery by incorrect storage, contamination, misuse or failure to follow the information provided.

Natural changes in honey, including crystallisation and variations in colour, texture or consistency, are not faults.

10. Our responsibility

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or were caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Our products are intended for personal and domestic use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from a consumer order, including loss of profit, income, opportunity or goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or your statutory consumer rights.

11. Personal information

We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Payments are handled by the payment provider offered at checkout. We do not receive or store your complete payment card details.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The Terms applying to your order will be those published on the website when you place your order. Changes will not apply retrospectively to an order that has already been accepted.

If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

Customers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland retain any rights to bring proceedings in the courts where they live.
